School Dinners

The school dinner menu is catered on a 3 week rota. Parents/Carers will need to choose their child's lunches on School Grid. This app allows you to choose your child's meal for the day, week, or even month. You will be sent an email with a link from School Grid to log in to your account when your child starts school.

Please note the following times for food pre orders:

  • 8:45am online on the day at home.

  • 9:00am during classroom registration

  • If your child is late, the school office will take their request up until 9:45am.

  • If your child arrives to school after 9:45am they will be offered a meal from the menu subject to availability.

School Grid also allows you to update the school kitchen directly with your child's dietary needs. A vegetarian option is available each day and all dietary needs are catered for. Please take a look at this parent video guide to get a better understanding of how School Grid works - SchoolGrid - Parent Introduction

All children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 can order a school meal at a cost of £2.10 per day, or £10.50 per week payable by debit/credit card or direct debit through your ParentPay account.

All children in reception, year 1 or year 2 are entitled to free school meals. This is called Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). This is different to benefit-based Free School Meals (FSM). Children are only eligible for benefit-based FSM and Pupil Premium funding if their parents receive certain benefits and have made a successful application with Salford City Council.

Please ensure your child's meals are paid for promptly.

If you have any questions regarding ordering school meals or payments please contact the school office.
