Introducing Revd David
Hello! My name is Reverend David Cooper, and I am the Team Rector of the three parish churches in Walkden and Little Hulton, one of which is St Paul’s Walkden.
​
As the Rector, I am the ex-officio Foundation Governor, and as such help the school to reflect the love and light of Jesus Christ in all its values and strategic priorities, but mostly by the way the St Paul’s School Family seeks to live together. I am in the school often, leading worship times and helping with the RE, as well as all those Governors’ meetings and activities as we try and ensure the school is as excellent as possible!

It’ll be GREAT to see you in church! Our Sunday worship starts at 10.30am and we offer worship activities for children as well as for grown-ups (children’s packs and activities are available at the back of the church)!

Other Services
Baptism - We normally have baptism services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 12.30pm. If you would like to have your child baptised (or if you would like to be baptised yourself) then please come to church and pick up a “Five Steps to Baptism” leaflet, which tells you all about it. Come and meet us! Baptism is all about being part of the church family, and so joining in with the family is the best way to start!
Confirmation - At the beginning of each school year the children in Year 6 are asked whether they would like to be confirmed in the Christian faith. Preparation classes are held in the Autumn. We then book a bishop to come and lead the Confirmation service.
Of course, baptisms are for everybody, young and old alike! Confirmations are for any teenager and adult wishing to take being a Christian more seriously. Have a word with me if you want to know more – contact details below.
